The Standard Install
When you lease your satellite system from Joe's Satellite & Antenna, Standard Professional Installation is included on all systems ordered! When you place your order, your installation will be done within 3-5 business days.

What's Included with every Professional Installation?
  • A satellite dish strategically positioned to maintain the integrity of your home while considering four seasons' foliage and superior reception.
  • Selection of high-quality wires to insure high audio and video quality throughout the house.
  • Proper grounding to protect the system and enhance performance.
  • Quality, professional tools that insure proper fittings as well as avoid damaging the house.
  • The ability to provide enhancements to insure viewing pleasures such as off air antennas.
  • Installation warranty.
  • Instruction on proper operation of your satellite receiver.
  • Considering the amount of time you could spend installing the system yourself along with technical factors, professional installation is usually less expensive than self-installation.
What Does Standard Professional Installation Mean?
Our professional installers will mount the Satellite Dish in the most appealing location for your home, apartment, condo or townhouse. Your system installation may require structure modifications that may be limited or restricted by the terms of your lease/rental agreement. To avoid delays in your installation, we ask that you obtain written or verbal permission from you landlord, homeowners association or property manager (or, alternatively, review your lease/rental agreement/HOA CC&Rs to confirm that permission is not required) prior to scheduling your installation.
  • Mount Dish on an outside wall of the dwelling with appropriate hardware within 100 feet cable-length of television.
  • Provide up to 100 feet of RG-6 cable.
  • Provide the hardware necessary to ground the satellite antenna.
  • Route all cables to the television either through an exterior wall (frame or one layer of masonry) or from a basement.
  • Connect receiver to an existing telephone jack (if available) in the same room with the supplied telephone wire.
  • Instruction on system use and notify provider for activation.

Should you request or require anything above and beyond standard professional installation (such as extensive wiring, additional receivers, special installation hardware, relocation of telephone jacks or accessories) you pay the installer for those additional services at the time of the installation. You should discuss any additional service requirements with your installer and identify costs prior to the start of the installation. Services considered additional for which you will pay the installer, directly, may include: additional television hook-up and additional receiver installation (beyond that included in the offer), chimney mount, pole mount, stereo system hook-up, additional coax cable run over 100', and wall fishing of coax cable.

What are the Requirements for Line of Sight and Other Restrictions?
If you have a clear view of the southern sky, you may be able to get Satellite service. If not authorized to mount the dish on the roof, many apartment and condominium residents have the dish installed on a private patio or balcony - a clear view of the southern sky is required. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has a rule that generally forbids local governments and homeowners associations from enforcing unreasonable restrictions regarding the installation of DBS antennas one meter or smaller. For more information, visit the FCC website. However, your system installation may require structure modifications that may be limited or restricted by the terms of your lease/rental agreement. To avoid delays in your installation, we ask that you obtain written or verbal permission from your landlord, homeowners association or property manager (or, alternately, review your lease/rental agreement/HOA CC&Rs to confirm that permission is not required prior to scheduling your installation.
